When Jared enters the little store across the street of the office building, it is empty. The interior is kind of shady because even the large shop windows can't let enough light in to brighten the room. There is not much sunlight to begin with, the towering skyscrapers all around blending out most of it. He peruses the shelves, looking for the magazines and newspapers he usually reads.
Since Alona called in sick today and Mike's secretary had not known that Jared gets his magazines and papers everyday, he had decided to use the lunch break and get them himself. Just as he finds what he had been looking for, he hears the sound of someone taking in a shocked breath. Alarmed he turns around. His heart stops for a second when he meets all too familiar green eyes.
At first he stares at the other guy dumbfounded for a second but than anger starts to flood him and he stuffs the papers back without checking where he puts them. Trembling with rage he stomps to the counter. "How dare you work here!"
He doesn't even wait for a reply and heads to the exit. Halfway through the door he looks back, glowering with hate. "I warned you the last time. Since you are not willing to listen I'll have the police make you stay away from me."
And then he steps out into the bustle of the sidewalk, dashing across the street and to the entrance of the his office building. He's already dialing his mobile as he enters through the front door. There's no way he's going to tolerate this fucked up stalker for a second longer.
